​Another 100 gas-powered buses will be purchased for Krasnoyarsk

This was announced the day before by the head of the city Sergey Vereshchagin. An electronic auction has already been announced. The winner will receive the right to supply 100 units of equipment. The gas-powered transport will be purchased on lease. Sber-Leasing OJSC will provide such financial services.

Under the terms of the contract, the new buses will be equipped with climate control, air conditioning and heating. They should be suitable for passengers with limited mobility, as well as have passenger flow sensors, video surveillance and other necessary equipment.

The equipment will come to the city gradually. The entire delivery must be completed by the end of August. Due to this large batch of gas-powered vehicles, it is planned to completely upgrade the rolling stock of the municipal motor transport enterprise No. 5. According to the plans, buses will operate on all routes operated by this carrier. These are the routes now №№ 64, 30, 11, 26, 87, 52, 49, 14.

Last year, thanks to the support of Governor Mikhail Kotyukov, gas-powered buses entered Krasnoyarsk routes for the first time. They are being purchased as part of the city's preparations for the 400th anniversary. There are already 150 such vehicles in the fleet. They have shown reliable and trouble-free operation even in cold weather. Passengers in gas-powered buses are transported by crews of KPATP No. 7 JSC.

In addition, 55 more buses will arrive in Krasnoyarsk by the end of spring. They were purchased at the expense of funds saved during last year's competitive procedures.

The main purpose of updating the bus fleet with equipment that runs on natural fuels is to improve the environmental situation and improve the quality of public transport.
