On May 27, as part of the renovation of passenger transport for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, another batch of modern gas-powered buses, 12 units, was delivered to the city. This was announced by Governor Mikhail Kotyukov during a direct line.
Last year, 150 new buses were already launched on municipal routes in Krasnoyarsk. In 2026, 155 more buses will be added to the fleet of urban car enterprises: 55 buses have already arrived, and another 100 are expected to be delivered by the end of summer. With their commissioning, the entire municipal bus fleet of the regional capital will be updated.
"These are modern comfortable buses with validators and a video surveillance system for connecting multiple video cameras. Now the Krasnoyarsk administration, with the support of the region, is looking for solutions to upgrade the fleet of the entire city route network – we are discussing a program to modernize the rolling stock of private carriers," the Governor said.
During the direct line, Mikhail Kotyukov answered questions about large-scale infrastructural transformations for the anniversary of the capital of the region. Citizens, in particular, are interested in when the construction of the Square of Firsts will begin.
Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "The preparation of the project documentation is now being completed. After its approval State expertise will begin construction work. By the 400th anniversary, the square and the building itself must be completed, but the technical equipment may continue after 2028. We don't chase deadlines – we put quality first."
There were several questions about the construction of the water park. As the Governor explained, this is a private project, but the region is considering options for investor support. The issue of reconstruction of the Krasnoyarsk Circus is also under constant control.
Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "This is a federal facility, and we cannot spend funds from the regional budget on it. Our initiatives were supported by Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and the Federal Ministry of Culture provided resources for reconstruction. According to the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, a contractor will be identified in the third quarter. After that, it will be possible to specify the dates when the Krasnoyarsk Circus will be able to receive its first audience."
On May 19, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a visiting meeting of the federal organizing committee for the preparation and celebration of the 400th anniversary of the city in Krasnoyarsk. Together with Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and representatives of federal and regional executive authorities, he visited key infrastructure facilities that are being reconstructed or built as part of Krasnoyarsk's preparations for the anniversary. Following the meeting of the organizing committee, the list of priority projects for the anniversary celebration was clarified, as well as schedules for the necessary work. The relevant departments and responsible organizations were instructed to ensure interdepartmental coordination, compliance with deadlines and regular monitoring of training in all areas.
