Tomorrow, new gas-powered buses will replace the rolling stock on two more routes.

From October 30 to routes No. 10 "pos. Energetikov – JSC Krasfarma and No. 56 pos. Shinnikov Railway Station" 21 new gas–powered buses will be released. Today, acting Mayor Roman Odintsovo checked their readiness for work and talked with the drivers.

Rolling stock at the city's motor transport enterprises is being systematically updated on the initiative and with the support of the Governor of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, in preparation for Krasnoyarsk's 400th anniversary. Old diesel-powered buses are being replaced with natural gas-powered vehicles. This makes it possible to improve the environmental situation and improve the quality of public transport.

As a result, gas-powered vehicles will completely upgrade the fleet of Krasnoyarsk Motor Transport Company No. 7. To date, it operates on 15 routes that cover the right and left banks. Since mid-October, new cars have been transporting passengers on routes No. 12 and No. 19.

Alexander Jupliy, the mentor driver of KPATP No. 7, was one of the first to get behind the wheel of the new bus. For this purpose, he received special training at the Minsk Automobile Plant. Alexander Andreevich's driving experience is almost 40 years, and he has something to compare it with.

"Of course, these buses are strikingly different from the old cars. There is an automatic transmission, several security systems, including fire extinguishing and video surveillance. A simple example: as long as the doors are not closed, the bus will not leave. It's very warm in the cabin now, and the air conditioner will work during the hot season. For the convenience of people with disabilities, there is a ramp – a special platform that can be extended for a person in a wheelchair. In addition, the bus is connected to the "Talking City" system for informing visually impaired people and the "Safe City" system. The cameras in the cabin transmit the image online. If a passenger is wanted, police officers will respond immediately. We have already had such a case," said Alexander Jupliy.

A total of 150 gas-powered buses will arrive in Krasnoyarsk this year, 85 of them have already been delivered to the city.  In mid-November, new cars will enter routes No. 55 and No. 31.

A tender has also been announced for the purchase of 55 more gas-powered buses for motor transport company No. 5 at the expense of budget savings. Such a large-scale upgrade will make it possible to completely decommission old diesel-powered vehicles with a service life of 15 years.

During the field meeting, Roman Odintsovo noted that the renovation of the bus fleet will continue in 2026.  

"In the draft budget for next year, we are investing funds for the purchase of another batch of buses. We plan to transfer all routes that serve our municipal enterprises to new equipment this year and next. I have personally ridden new buses several times, the impressions are the most pleasant. I think that Krasnoyarsk residents will appreciate them," he said. Roman Odintsovo. – We will continue to put things in order in this area: to make public transport convenient, affordable, and high-speed. I would like to note that not only are working conditions improving for employees of motor transport companies, but starting from January 1, wages are expected to increase by 20 percent."

Recall that gas-powered buses were manufactured specifically for Krasnoyarsk at the Minsk Automobile Plant. Separate workshops were allocated for the assembly of vehicles.

Validators are working in the cabins for the convenience of passengers, and cameras are installed for safety. All buses are equipped with climate control, air conditioning, and heating devices. The cars are also adapted to serve people with limited mobility.
