A new batch of gas-powered buses for Krasnoyarsk will be made by the Belarusian MAZ

The company received this right based on the results of competitive procedures. 55 more gas-powered vehicles are to be delivered to Krasnoyarsk by April 1, 2026. New buses will be purchased on lease. The purchase is financed by JSC Sber-Leasing.

The equipment should be delivered to the motor transport company No. 5. A contractor is currently being identified that will provide buses with liquefied natural gas on a monthly basis. The contract has already been posted on the public procurement site. The conclusion is planned in December.

The Belarusian MAZ plant already has experience in manufacturing and supplying gas-powered buses for Krasnoyarsk. The first batch of such machines arrived in the city from this factory. According to the terms of the contract, all equipment must be equipped with a climate control system, air conditioners, and heating devices. The vehicles should also be adapted to serve low-mobility citizens, equipped with passenger flow sensors, a video surveillance system, etc.

Eco-friendly fuel buses are being purchased for the city on the initiative of the governor of the region Mikhail Kotyukov. By the end of this year, 150 cars are expected to arrive in Krasnoyarsk as part of the first batch of the leasing program. Most of them are already operating in the regional center on 6 routes. Passengers are transported on them by the crews of KPATP No. 7 JSC.

Another 55 buses were purchased for our city at the expense of savings during competitive procedures. The purpose of this update is to improve the environmental situation and improve the quality of public transport.

"The acquisition of modern and environmentally friendly rolling stock for operation on urban routes will continue next year. We are talking about the purchase of another batch of gas-powered buses with regional financial support. The relevant events are part of Krasnoyarsk's preparations for the 400th anniversary and are included in the draft budget for the next three years. Last week, the main financial document was submitted to the City Council of Deputies, and it will soon be reviewed at public hearings with the deputy corps, and we expect that the budget will be approved at the City Council session on December 16," Roman Odintsovo, Acting mayor of the city, said.
