The new cultural space in the regional capital is more than half ready.
The construction of a large-scale facility dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the city was checked by Governor Mikhail Kotyukov and the head of Krasnoyarsk Sergey Vereshchagin. They examined how the work was completed and discussed the upcoming tasks with the contractor.
The new building is being built next to the estate of the artist Vasily Surikov. The space will combine modern cultural infrastructure with the historical heritage of Krasnoyarsk. It will house exhibition and lecture halls, a library, an art workshop and modern exhibitions.
The architecture of the building is also connected with the artist's history: the image of the center resembles a chest in which the sketches and sketches of the master were kept. The interiors will feature references to the nature of Siberia and Surikov's work. The head of the region instructed to carefully approach the landscaping of the complex
"It is necessary to provide comfort for residents of neighboring houses and visitors, harmoniously integrate the new space into the existing landscape, and deal with orphan land plots," Mikhail Kotyukov noted.
At the moment, the builders have erected a reinforced concrete frame of the building, installed the roof and windows. Currently, a ventilated facade and outdoor networks are being installed at the facility, finishing is underway, and engineering systems and translucent structures are being installed.
The work is ahead of schedule, and the facility is scheduled to be completed next year. At the same time, to celebrate the 400th anniversary, it is planned to restore the native house of the artist Vasily Surikov, as well as the fence and the wing.
