On the way to the anniversary: the head of Krasnoyarsk checked the progress of preparations for the 400th anniversary of the city

On August 19, the historic birthday of Krasnoyarsk, Sergey Vereshchagin supervised the implementation of several projects for the upcoming anniversary, the responsibility for the implementation of which is assigned to the city. The visiting meeting was attended by deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Legislative Assembly of the region and the Chairman of the City Council of Deputies.
The working departure started from the avenue named after the newspaper "Krasnoyarsk Worker". A backup road is being repaired on the odd side of the main avenue of the right bank, and a new pedestrian zone with a length of more than 1 kilometer is being formed. The contractor is laying wires underground, changing supports and fixtures, updating footpaths and outdoor furniture. More than 500 trees and shrubs will also have to be planted. On the opposite side, preparations are underway to expand part of the avenue, now 6 capital buildings are being demolished there.
In parallel, the facades of residential buildings are being put in order. In total, about 60 buildings will be renovated in Krasnoyarsk this year. Young street artists are helping to solve this problem. As part of the Rassvety Art Festival, craftsmen will create murals on the facades of 6 high-rise buildings on the right bank.
"Artists from almost all over the country sent their works to the competition, the best of them were selected by the jury. Today we met with a wonderful artist from Makhachkala, who is engaged in wall painting," said Natalia Firyulina, Chairman of the City Council of Deputies.
A lot of work is being done on landscaping. This year, 15 public spaces are being renovated. Sergey Vereshchagin visited two of them – the park on the Runway and the Guards. The works at the facilities are designed for two seasons. This year, the contractor completed the layout at Gvardeysky, changed the track coverings, and laid networks for lighting poles. All processes are at the completion stage. In the park on the Runway, the readiness of the first stage is above 60%. The contractor is finishing laying paving stones, it is necessary to install outdoor furniture and a new stage, install video surveillance and warning systems, and plant more than a hundred green spaces. These works are expected to be completed in October.
The head of Krasnoyarsk also inspected the new street and road cleaning equipment in operation. By the 400th anniversary, 50 units were purchased with the support of the governor of the region Mikhail Kotyukov. These are machines for cleaning sidewalks, driveways, storm sewers and wells, as well as for vertical cleaning of fences and fences.
The final point of the working trip was the Theater Square. The reconstruction of the Rivers of Siberia fountain is in the process of completion, and the technical launch of the facility is planned in the fall. And next year, the renovation of the upper tier of the square is planned. For the first time, the architects presented sketches of future changes.
"Exactly two years remain until the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. There is a very large range of tasks to be implemented, including the construction of new facilities, the improvement of streets and spaces, the restoration of cultural heritage sites and the repair of house facades. It is valuable that business is joining the city's 400th anniversary preparation team. Currently, 11 agreements worth more than 14 billion rubles have been signed. Additionally, three companies will invest more than 15 billion rubles of investments. The involvement of residents is also necessary, Krasnoyarsk residents should be able to offer their ideas and projects. To do this, an information portal is being launched to prepare the city for the anniversary, where feedback is provided," said Sergey Vereshchagin.
The information portal of the 400th anniversary of the city, Krasnoyarsk 400.rf, begins its work today. Here every resident will be able to leave their suggestions on the development of the regional capital. Specialists will analyze them, evaluate the possibility of implementation.
Recall that by the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk was given the status of a federal event. The regional anniversary preparation program includes 239 facilities and events. The implementation of the plans is under the control of the governor of the region Mikhail Kotyukov.
