Major repairs of the MBUK Victory Memorial Museum and landscaping of Victory Square

The MBUK Victory Memorial Museum was opened on May 9, 1975 in honor of the 30th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In 2024-2025, a large-scale reconstruction of the Victory Memorial museum complex and landscaping of the adjacent Victory Square were carried out in Krasnoyarsk. The works were timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The reconstruction concept was developed taking into account the opinions of veterans, representatives of the architectural community and citizens. The project preserves the traditions laid down by chief architect Areg Demirkhanov.

During the work at the museum building, the facade, entrance doors, windows were replaced, and a new ventilation system was installed. A modern exhibition has appeared inside the space, which helps visitors immerse themselves in the events of the 1940s.

During the beautification of Victory Square, a new bowl of Eternal Flame was equipped. The slabs commemorate the key events of all 1418 days of the war - "The Soldier's Way", and the inscription: "The memory of your military exploits will live for centuries."

The first solemn event on the renovated square was held on February 23, 2025, on Defender of the Fatherland Day.

The work will be completed in 2025.
