Beautiful Coast viewing platform
The Beautiful Shore observation deck is one of the most popular and beautiful places in Krasnoyarsk, because it offers wonderful views of the banks of the Yenisei. It is these beauties that attract tourists, lovers and newlyweds who come here to take amazing pictures. The observation deck stretches along a high cliff for several hundred meters. From here you can admire the right bank of Krasnoyarsk, with its Stolby nature Reserve, Takmak Rock and Beaver Log, as well as the cozy village of Udachny, which is located at the bottom of the cliff, on the left bank, with its pearl– the Holy Dormition Monastery. Observation deck and flagpole on Nikolaevskaya hill
The observation deck and the tallest flagpole with the Russian tricolor beyond the Urals are located on a volcanic feature – Nikolaevskaya Sopka, which is notable for being the highest point in Krasnoyarsk. Just imagine the views that await you at an altitude of 505 meters! From this peak, you can enjoy a picturesque panorama of the entire city, the contours of the Takmak and Ermak mountains, the Yenisei River and the Bobrovy Log fanpark. The landscaped observation deck on Nikolaevskaya Sopka was opened in the spring of 2021 and immediately became one of the most popular tourist spots in the city. The observation room is interesting for its modern design – it turned out to be a light and airy object. And the huge balcony with panoramic windows causes a wow effect among tourists! The observation deck consists of three levels: on the lower one there is a pedestrian bridge "floating" above the slope, on the hill there is an amphitheater with a canopy from the rain, on the upper point there are single places for quiet relaxation. There is also the country's tallest flagpole, which is 100 meters long. From different points of Krasnoyarsk, the Russian flag is also visible, fluttering in the wind. Its dimensions are amazing: the length ratio is 33x22 meters, and the weight is more than 80 kilograms. All the elements of the site are connected by a pedestrian boardwalk. There is parking for 50 cars. How to get there? You can get to the observation deck by car along the serpentine road, on foot - the route runs from the Gremyachaya Mane eco–park or by bus. You can walk on the site of the Nikolaevskaya hill observation deck in any weather: anti-slip notches are provided, so it will be comfortable and safe here in winter and in the off-season. ► By car: drive along Biathlon Street and do not miss the right turn – it will be a kilometer from the Sopka Sports Complex public transport stop. Cultural and historical center "Uspensky"
The cultural and historical center "Uspensky" was built according to the project of the Krasnoyarsk architect Konstantin Shumov in the neo–Russian style - it is he who dominates among the buildings of the complex of the territory of the Assumption Monastery in the city of Krasnoyarsk. Construction work was carried out from 2013 to 2016, and the center was officially opened on August 28, 2016. The main task of the center is to develop the values of traditional Russian culture in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Clubs for decorative and applied arts, including patchwork, weaving, embroidery, and pottery, operate on the basis of the Uspensky Cultural and Historical Center. The center hosts rehearsals for the men's choir of the cultural and historical center, bell-ringing workshops and various cultural events aimed at developing and popularizing traditional folk culture among the population. Yaryginskaya (pravoberezhnaya) embankment
The Yaryginskaya embankment walking area begins near the Bridgehead Square, its length is almost 3 kilometers. Since 2011, the embankment has been named after an outstanding Krasnoyarsk athlete. Ivan Yarygin. The symbol of the embankment is the art object "Duality", which is illuminated at night, resembling two hearts pulsating in harmony and emitting light. According to the authors, this is the personification of the unity of the inhabitants of the right and left banks. Nearby there is a large amphitheater, the steps of which lead to the Yenisei. This is a modern space designed for a comfortable stay. On the embankment you can find areas for relaxing time, playgrounds, sports locations, as well as running and cycling tracks. A two-tiered observation deck with swing boats offers spectacular views of the bridge, the bayou, the Belye Rosy neighborhood and the Island of Rest. Krasnoyarsk Pravoberezhnaya Embankment was recognized as the best architectural project in Siberia in 2020. She received the Grand Prix, the main award of the XX Interregional Festival "Architecture in Siberia 2020" and a gold diploma in the "Landscaping" nomination.
Tatyshev Island
Tatyshev Island is a real corner of nature in the very center of Krasnoyarsk, surrounded by the waters of the Yenisei. Gophers and foxes live here. It is also the mecca of all the athletes of the city. Cross-country running, cycling, roller skating, skating, skiing, gyro scooters, jumping jumpers, playing volleyball, basketball and ping pong, and idlers sunbathe by the water or have a picnic on the lawns. Numerous festivals, concerts, sports competitions and all kinds of celebrations are held right in the open air. The Historical Quarter
The historical quarter in Krasnoyarsk is a public space in the city center, created on the basis of restored wooden houses of the XIX – early XX century (Gorky Street area). The project began to be discussed in the early 2010s, and active implementation started in 2017. As part of the reconstruction, the historic buildings were dismantled and restored with the preservation of a significant part of the original materials. The main feature of the quarter is the combination of authentic architecture and modern function: today it is a pedestrian zone with cafes, hotels and cultural venues. The project is being implemented with the participation of private investors and the city and is considered an example of careful renovation of the historical environment.
Pokrovsky Park and Paraskeva Friday Chapel
Pokrovsky Park is located on Karaulnaya Gora and is one of the most important places in the history of Krasnoyarsk. Once the Cossacks guarded Krasny Ostrog from raids from this mountain.
