By the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, Polyus Company will finance the modernization of the Krasny Yar rugby stadium

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Governor Mikhail Kotyukov and Alexey Vostokov, CEO of the Polyus gold mining Group, agreed that the company would support the Krasny Yar rugby stadium modernization project. The facility will be renovated in preparation for the celebration of the 400th anniversary of the capital of the region.

According to the roadmap prepared by the Krasnoyarsk city administration, project documentation for reconstruction will be developed this year. After that, construction work will begin in 2027. They are scheduled to be completed in 2028.

Rugby in the capital of the region is more than just a sport: two Krasnoyarsk teams are among the leaders of Russian rugby, and the derby between them always causes a lot of excitement. The reconstruction of Krasny Yar is a very important project for the city and the region. The renovated stadium will become a point of attraction not only for professionals, but also for sports enthusiasts of all ages."

Earlier, Polyus financed the construction of a modern multifunctional complex, where, in addition to professionals, children from the Olympic Reserve sports school also train. The reconstruction of the Krasny Yar stadium will give an additional impetus to the development of rugby in the city and the region and, hopefully, will be a good gift to athletes and all residents for the anniversary of Krasnoyarsk," Alexey Vostokov emphasized.
