Siberia's largest exhibition and presentation venue for contemporary art was established in 1987 as the thirteenth branch of the Central Lenin Museum. However, already in the early 90s, he began to actively develop his own areas and amassed an impressive collection. For the first time in Russia, such unique formats as the Biennale (1995) and the Museum Night (2002) were implemented here.

The museum's collection is constantly replenished with works by contemporary artists from Russia and other countries. Over the years, we have managed to collect an impressive list of names and trends, including works by Siberian authors. Among them, the names of Konstantin Batynkov, Valery Koshlyakov, Alexander Brodsky, Vladimir Salnikov, Damir Muratov, Viktor Sachivko, Leonid Tishkov, Yuri Avvakumov, Timur Novikov, Tatiana Antoshina, Olga and Alexander Florensky and many others stand out.

The museum's area is about 2.5 thousand square meters, which allows for numerous photo exhibitions, concerts, lectures, theatrical performances and master classes by contemporary artists. At the same time, the museum retains permanent exhibitions dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the life of Vladimir Lenin, which at one time began his story.

The museum building has an unusual shape, echoing the Stolby Nature Reserve and creating a silhouette resembling mountains. The Yenisei River flows nearby. Inside, the museum is a fascinating maze with many halls and levels, and its architect is the famous Redneck Areg Demirkhanov.

Victory Memorial

The Victory Memorial in Krasnoyarsk is one of the main monuments of the city dedicated to the participants of the Great Patriotic War. It is located on Pokrovskaya Gora and is an important place of remembrance and celebrations. The memorial was opened in 1975 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Victory. The central element of the complex is the museum building and the square with the Eternal Flame, where the names of the inhabitants of the region who died in the war are immortalized. The special feature of the memorial is the combination of an architectural complex and a museum space: commemorative ceremonies are held here, as well as an exposition dedicated to the history of the war and the contribution of the Krasnoyarsk Territory to the Victory.

Steamship Museum "St. Nicholas"

On the banks of the Yenisei River, next to the building of the Krasnoyarsk Cultural and Historical Center, the steamship St. Nicholas is permanently moored. This unique monument of history and technology was built in 1886 in Tyumen by order of the famous Siberian industrialist Alexander Mikhailovich Sibiryakov. At the end of the 19th century, the cargo and passenger tugboat St. Nicholas was famous for its speed and comfort for passengers. Its capacity was 140 horsepower, and the capacity reached 150-200 people. Among other celebrities, Tsarevich Nicholas, the future last Emperor of Russia, Nicholas II, made a short trip on this steamer in 1891 , returning from a trip to the East. And in 1897, Vladimir Ulyanov went from Krasnoyarsk to exile in Shushenskoye on it. Today, St. Nicholas is a 300-square-meter museum on the water. There is an exhibition on board dedicated to the life of Vladimir Ulyanov in exile and his stay on the ship. There are also interesting materials from the exhibitions "Commander Rezanov" and "The Last Sovereign of Russia". In addition to the permanent exhibitions, the museum has other exhibitions: "Fashion from the cover", "Secrets of the old steamer". Family and children's events are held regularly. Children especially like this museum: here you can climb on the deck, turn the steering wheel and call the market. And from the deck of the steamer there is a stunning view of the Yenisei. 1a Mira Square, Krasnoyarsk https://vk.com/parokhod_museum Phone: +7 (391) 265-34-84

Museum-estate of G.V. Yudin

The country estate of the merchant and bibliophile Gennady Vasilyevich Yudin, popularly known as "Yudinka", is a unique place, the only preserved merchant's cottage in Krasnoyarsk on the banks of the Yenisei . It is located in the historical district of the city, where the suburban village of Tarakanovka was located at the end of the 19th century. The museum-estate was opened in December 2014. The museum's exposition is dedicated to the legacy of Gennady Yudin, a merchant, distiller, bibliophile and book publisher. During his lifetime, he became famous for his famous library, which was considered one of the largest private book collections in pre-revolutionary Russia. The tragic events of the early 20th century were reflected in the history of the Yudinsky library: Unable to find buyers in Russia, Yudin sold it to the United States, where it became the core of the Slavic department of the Library of Congress. The names of many famous personalities are connected with the history of the estate: archaeologist Ivan Savenkov, Vladimir Lenin, who worked in the library in 1897 during his exile in Siberia, and engineer Evgeny Knorre, who supervised the construction of the railway bridge over the Yenisei in 1896-1899 and rented an outbuilding on the Yudin estate. Another exposition of the estate museum is dedicated to the exiled Decembrists who lived in Krasnoyarsk and other cities of the Yenisei province. The Children's Museum Center has hosted an exhibition of works by Anatoly Zolotukhin, a Krasnoyarsk artist of decorative, applied and theatrical art, "A Train from Childhood." Today, Yudinka is a modern public space where guided tours, exhibitions, performances, lectures and master classes are held. In summer, film screenings, concerts, and readings of plays by contemporary playwrights are organized on the territory next to the museum. You can celebrate your birthday, graduation, or check—in at the museum. 2/1 Melkombinatskaya St. +7 (391) 221-14-44 https://vk.com/yudinka_museum

Memorial complex of V.P. Astafyev in Ovsyanka

The memorial complex includes the Viktor Petrovich Astafyev National Center, opened in 2024, the writer's house museum, the museum of the story "The Last Bow" (the house of the writer's grandmother Ekaterina Petrovna Potylitsyna), an exhibition hall, as well as an outdoor recreation area with a gazebo, swings and a performance area. Viktor Petrovich always returned to his native Oatmeal with special trepidation. In 1980, he bought a hut on Shchetinkina Street, 26, opposite his grandmother's house, and gradually restored it. Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, Vladimir Putin, Alexander Solzhenitsyn and others visited this house. Here Astafyev wrote his best works: "The Sad Detective" (1987), "The Sighted Staff" (1988), "Cursed and Killed" (1993-1994), "So I want to live" (1995). The last time Viktor Petrovich came to Ovsyanka was in March 2001. After Astafyev's death, his house was transferred to the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. The opening took place on the anniversary of his death, November 29, 2002. The original furnishings and personal belongings of the writer have been preserved in the house. Later, the house of the writer's grandmother, Ekaterina Petrovna Potylitsyna, was restored. Thanks to the efforts of architects, historians, eyewitness accounts and Viktor Petrovich's book "The Last Bow", the estate was recreated to the smallest detail. The museum of the story "The Last Bow" was opened on May 1, 2004, in the year of the writer's 80th birthday. On May 1, 2024, to mark the 100th anniversary of Astafyev's birth, the National Center was opened. The three-storey building houses a museum, an exhibition hall, an intelligence center, a children's center, a conference room, a souvenir shop and a cafe. The writer's personal office has been recreated from his apartment in Akademgorodok. Krasnoyarsk Museum of Local Lore

The museum was founded in 1889 on the initiative of the spouses Innokenty Alekseevich and Yulia Petrovna Matveev, who became its first donors. The museum building is an architectural monument of the early 20th century. It was designed by the Krasnoyarsk architect Leonid Chernyshev, inspired by the examples of ancient Egyptian temple architecture. The Krasnoyarsk Museum of Local Lore is one of the oldest in Siberia. The museum's archives contain about 500,000 exhibits representing archaeological, paleontological, artistic and natural science collections. Permanent and traveling exhibitions are held here, introducing the history of Siberia from ancient times to the present day. One of the famous exhibits is a complete mammoth skeleton, first exhibited in the museum in 1936. In 2014, the collection was expanded with the only Jurassic Stegosaurus skeleton in Russia, discovered in a coal mine near Sharypovo. This ancient reptile, belonging to the dinosaur family, lived on earth about 150 million years ago. The Museum of Local lore also houses the Ishimsky treasure, a complex of ancient objects discovered in 1911 near the village of Ishimka, 50 kilometers from Achinsk on an island among swamps in the taiga. The treasure contained items related to an ancient shamanic ritual, which were brought as gifts to the gods. Among them: weapons — iron swords, daggers, spears and arrowheads; metal mirrors of local and Chinese workmanship; amulets-ornaments made in the animal style. In addition, the museum of local lore houses the epistolary heritage of the Decembrists, a collection of church antiquities, as well as personal belongings of prominent Krasnoyarsk residents: Vasily Surikov, Gennady Yudin, Viktor Astafyev and Dmitry Hvorostovsky. The museum's collections served as the basis for the creation of the Krasnoyarsk State Universal Scientific Library., The Estate Museum, as well as the Vasily Ivanovich Surikov Art Museum. The structure of the Museum of Local Lore includes: - Gennady Yudin Manor Museum; - Viktor Astafyev Literary Museum; - Memorial complex of Viktor Astafyev in the village of Ovsyanka ; - The steamship museum "St. Nicholas". https://www.kkkm.ru 84 Dubrovinsky St. +7 (391) 227-92-04, 227-05-80, 234-05-06 museum@kkkm.ru

Krasnoyarsk Aqueduct Museum

The construction of a water pipeline in Krasnoyarsk began in March 1913, and the official launch took place in December 1914. In the museum located on Posadny Island, you can see rare exhibits that reflect the history of the development of the city's water supply system on the Yenisei. Among them: - the hatch from 1913 is the same age as the Krasnoyarsk aqueduct; - a German bronze gate valve made 100 years ago in Germany; - a cast-iron charcoal iron, which was the cause of frequent fires in the city; - cast-iron spiral staircase, cast by special order in the same year 1913. The museum also presents the results of the analysis of water from the Yenisei River, made in the spring of 1911 in Tomsk. The museum's archive contains the first order on the establishment of the Vodosvet Trust in 1936, as well as many workbooks of the company's employees. Unfortunately, many of their owners were never able to collect their documents — they went missing in the war. A separate place in the museum is reserved for diplomas and certificates. Among them is a certificate of awarding a silver medal for the quality of water from the intake on the island of Posadny . An excursion to the Krasnoyarsk Aqueduct Museum is available by appointment. The maximum number of participants in a group is 15 people. Since the museum is located in a protected water intake area, it is necessary to issue a pass in advance. The request must be sent to the email address kraskom@kraskom.com . In the letter, specify the day of the visit, the details of the group members, and the number of your car or bus. Each participant of the tour must have a passport with them. The Museum of the Krasnoyarsk Aqueduct is located at Krasnoyarsk, Posadny Island. https://www.kraskom.com/work/museum/
