Theater Square and Yenisei Embankment will be improved for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk

Preparations for the protection of the main financial document, the city budget, have begun in Krasnoyarsk. Deputies of the City Council have agreed on a draft municipal program "Improving the effectiveness of urban self-government in creating a modern urban environment." It was developed, among other things, on the basis of suggestions from citizens, and takes into account the main priorities that the head of Krasnoyarsk, Sergey Vereshchagin, declares in his work – openness and support for residents' initiatives, as well as the tasks of preparing for the 400th anniversary of the city.

The total amount for 2027 is 1 billion 574 million rubles. The document provides funds for the creation and transformation of four embankments, landscaping of five large parks and squares.

"As part of individual events, we will continue to assist in the implementation of Krasnoyarsk residents' ideas for the transformation of territories," said Alexander Barbashev, Head of the Department of Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping. – We are including 6 initiative projects in the implementation plan, providing grants for landscaping yards in the "Best Landscaping Concept" competition and holding the "Most landscaped Area" competition, which is beloved by the townspeople. It is very important to support the activity of citizens in creating cozy recreation areas and spaces."

In 2027, it is planned to continue work within the framework of the program "Creating a comfortable urban environment" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". Citizens have already chosen parks, squares and embankments that should be improved under this program. On the left bank, the plan of work includes Botanic Boulevard and the park named after him. Krutovsky (Karl Marx St., 14a), park near the Sokol Ice Palace, territory on Kalinin, 41-41b. On the right is the embankment of the Berezovka River, the embankment in the MKR. Quiet Dawns, Yenisei embankment on the street. Severny Passage (stage 2), Moskovsky Trakt square. Projects have already been developed for each space. They will be implemented in the spring, as soon as the weather permits.

In preparation for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, funds are planned to be used to improve the Theater Square, create an embankment from the Communal Bridge to the Southern Shore and continue the transformation of the transverse streets of the historical center. Work on creating a modern look for this part of the city began in 2025, and 7 streets have already been decorated in the same style – Karatanov, Dzerzhinsky, January 9, Perenson, Kirov, Dictatorship of the Proletariat, Surikov. The plans for 2027 include Gorky Street and Paris Commune Street.

These are just initial plans. It is planned to add funds from higher budgets to the program during the season. In the near future, for example, there will be a competition for subsidies from the regional budget in the amount of 6.4 million rubles. They are planned to be used to improve two courtyards – 51 Lvovskaya Street and 104 Krasnoyarsk Worker Newspaper Avenue. Apartment owners showed a desire to participate in the competition, they held meetings with the district administrations, approved plans and submitted applications for the competition.
