The All-Russian prize in the field of street art will be awarded in Krasnoyarsk for the first time

The first All-Russian award in the field of street art will conclude the Rassvety festival, which has been taking place in Krasnoyarsk since July. The idea of holding the festival was supported by the mayor Sergey Vereshchagin. The transformation of the appearance of city streets will become part of the preparation of the regional capital for the 400th anniversary. ​

The award recognizes authors and collectives in the field of street art and graffiti. Its tasks are the professional recognition of projects, the support of legal street art and the formation of a positive image of street art as a tool to prevent vandalism among young people.

Young people from Russia aged 18 to 35, as well as creative teams with at least half of their participants under the age of 35, will be able to apply for the All–Russian prize in the field of street art. One participant can submit up to 3 works in different categories.

The award is held in five nominations. Four of them (except the festival one) require at least 1 year of experience in street art and at least 3 works created no earlier than October 2024.

"Mural of the Year": large-scale author's and collective works on walls and facades. The integrity of the concept, the quality of execution and interaction with the urban environment are evaluated. The application must be accompanied by a photo of the general view and fragments, as well as a description of the idea.

"Out of the plane": spatial works: sculptures, installations, reliefs, three-dimensional graffiti, placed on a permanent or temporary basis. The main criterion is a clear and complete artistic concept.

"Genius of the place": artistic solutions related to a specific place, history, cultural context and identity: murals, installations, series of works, projects with residents and cultural institutions. It is important to show the connection with the territory in the application.

"Discovery of the Year": for a young author who has vividly declared himself in street art. It is not an individual work that is being evaluated, but a development trajectory: a series of works, notable projects, and participation in festivals. A portfolio must be attached to the application. Recognition of the author's style will be one of the main selection criteria.

"Best Festival Project": for a festival or a complex project that has contributed to the development of a direction. You need to talk about the program, the concept, the authors, the partners and the audience. It is mandatory to hold the event in 2026.

Applications are accepted on the official website of the project until October 27, 2026.

The award ceremony for the nominees will be held on October 31, 2026 at the Pilot Youth Creative Business Center (10 Aerovokzalnaya St.).

The Rassvety Street Art Festival is being held in Krasnoyarsk for the first time. It featured eight large-scale works on house facades and retaining walls, an educational program, a creative day at Art Beach, and an open-air performance with a member of the Moscow Union of Artists. 

The festival is organized by the municipal autonomous institution of youth policy "Youth Center for Author Self-determination "Zerkalo" with the support of the Main Department of Youth Policy of the Krasnoyarsk City Administration.
