Currently, workers are putting the sidewalk in order in the area of houses No.66 and 72 on Kopylova St. Paving stones are laid there. An asphalt path is being built on the section from Lado Ketskhoveli Street to Korneev Street.
In parallel, work is underway on lighting and landscaping. All the supports on the street have already been installed, electricians are installing lamps and preparing to reconnect the networks that have been removed underground. The gardeners are planting new trees and shrubs. There is a trench for a future hedge in the area of house No. 66. A total of 65 shrubs and 26 trees will be planted along the road. Among them are the brilliant dogwood, lapchatka, Siberian apple tree and rowan-leaved mountain ash. Additional benches and bins will be installed at bus stops for the convenience of residents.
The contractor was supposed to complete the landscaping of the street on September 15, but could not meet the deadline. The reason was the rains – it is impossible to dig trenches in the mud and build sidewalks on a wet surface.
On behalf of the mayor Sergey Vereshchagin, the contractor has mobilized resources to complete the work in the coming days. The new pavement should first appear on the even–numbered side - there is the largest pedestrian load. Currently, landscaping works are carried out around the clock: electricians work at night, and during the day, workers put the sidewalks in order. Landscaping of the street should be completed by the end of the month. Due to the delay, claims work will be conducted with the contractor.
The renovation of Kopylova Street is being carried out in preparation for the 400th anniversary of the city. The length of the facility is 1.5 km. In the sections from the lane. Bogotolsky to 118 A. Kirensky St. and from 17 Kopylova St. to Pushkin St., the contractor is laying a new pedestrian pavement, making a bike path, and removing the wires underground. The main task is to bring the street in line with modern standards, making it convenient for citizens. After the work is completed, the pedestrian paths along Kopylovo will become continuous: the contractor has restored all the missing sections of sidewalks there.
