Work is currently underway on the facade at the facility: monolithic walls are being insulated, decorative plaster is being applied. The next stage is the installation of metal cassettes. Aluminum plates were specially designed for the cultural space, they will create the effect of a single "lace canvas" or brush strokes of the artist.
Electrical and plumbing work is underway inside the Surikov Center, as well as the installation of a ventilation system. The masonry of the walls and partitions is 95% complete. Stained glass windows on the first and second floors are installed. Paving stones are laid on the terrace.
A spiral staircase has been assembled. In the near future, its painting and laying of granite tiles will begin. Later, a light installation of three birches will appear here, referring to the trees that Vasily Surikov planted on the estate.
Lanterns for natural light are installed in the workshop and lecture hall on the second floor. A sound insulation system is currently being installed in the lecture hall.
"The Surikov Center is 49% ready. Work on the facility is ahead of schedule. It is very important to complete it on time, by the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. In July, the contractor will begin landscaping the territory: laying paving stones, installing small architectural forms, planting lawns," said Alexander Navrodsky, Deputy mayor and head of the Urban Planning Department.
It should be recalled that construction work is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2027.
