Landscaping of Victory Square is being completed in Krasnoyarsk

A field meeting was held at the facility today. Mikhail Kotyukov, the governor of the region, assessed the progress of the work, and Evgenia Yurieva, the deputy mayor and head of the Department of Social Development, took part in the event.
Last year, a large-scale reconstruction of the Victory Memorial Museum complex was launched. Now the renovation of the central place of memory of the feat of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War is at the finish line.
The landscaping of Victory Square adjacent to the complex has almost been completed, and several zones have been designed here to show the soldier's path from the beginning of the war to May 9.
Visitors will be greeted by a restored monument to the Unknown Soldier, from which they will be able to walk to the museum's doors along a symbolic time ribbon. The Eternal Flame was moved - now it has become the main element of the square.
Military equipment remained in the same place. Additional navigation stands have been placed here. Some of the monuments from Victory Square were dismantled and moved to parks and squares in the city districts.
The first solemn event on the renovated Victory Square will be held on February 23rd, Defender of the Fatherland Day.
The exterior lighting and sound equipment, the facade of the museum building were also updated, lighting was installed, and now it will be possible to broadcast videos and videos on it. The renovation work inside the building is in full swing. The space will change dramatically. The Memorial Hall will be decorated in bright colors as a symbol of the memory of the soldiers: the stands will feature lists of dead residents of the city of Krasnoyarsk – their number will increase from the previous 11700 people to 27,000. An interactive 3D panorama with broadcast equipment will also be placed here and a special application will be created with the ability to download, broadcast and view information about the participants of the Great Patriotic War.
The governor was shown how the new locations "Apartment", "Wagon", "War", "War. Artifacts", "Victory. Rear" – with interiors where museum exhibits, exhibition and multimedia equipment will be placed.
Memorial complexes are being put in order for the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory on behalf of the governor of the region Mikhail Kotyukov. This project is part of the city's 400th anniversary preparation program.
Recall that the concept of a landmark place for Krasnoyarsk was developed taking into account the opinions of veterans, representatives of the architectural community and caring citizens. The transformation of the museum complex supports the traditions laid down by chief architect Areg Demirkhanov.
The renovated memorial is scheduled to open to visitors by May 9, 2025.
