Work is underway on the section of Karatanova Street from Karl Marx Street to Mira Ave. Residential buildings have already been connected to the water supply via a temporary pipeline. In the near future, the contractor will begin replacing communications with modern polyethylene pipes.
Landscaping is underway on the street in parallel. Multi-format paving stones are being laid from Lenin Street, granite side stones have already been installed there, and cables for new lighting have been laid underground. Temporary wooden decking has been set up on the sidewalks for the convenience of pedestrians.
Street Karatanova is one of the four transverse streets of the historical part of the city, which this year is being brought up to modern standards of landscaping. The work is being carried out in preparation for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. It is planned to beautify 15 transverse streets of the regional center in a single style. Currently, work is also underway on the streets of 9 January, Perenson and Dzerzhinsky.
As of January 9, a granite board continues to be installed from Karl Marx Street and underground cables are being laid for new lighting. And from Lenin Street, workers are sealing the foundation after archaeological work and replacing communications. The rains made the work a little more difficult, so the contractor had to get additional material and take time to dry the already laid layers. The storm drains were repaired on the street at that time.
Work on drainage and installation of a natural side stone is also being completed at Perenson. A remark was issued to the contractor this week – after the dismantling work, sinkholes formed on the pedestrian part near the existing wells, they had to be closed while wooden structures were used for this. Paving stones were also laid on the sidewalk on the street from Dubrovinsky.
On Dzerzhinsky St., the work with the coatings is almost completed. A layer of sand has already been removed from the paving stones on the pedestrian part. The contractor finishes the work with depressions and abutments. It is planned to purchase mature trees from the nursery next week. They will be planted instead of emergency maples in September. This time is considered the best time for the trees to take root in a new place.
