In Krasnoyarsk, the possibility of beautification of another street of the historical center is being considered.

In preparation for the 400th anniversary of the city, the issue of renovation of Surikov Street is being considered this year. Specialists are currently developing technical documentation, clarifying all issues related to financing, types and scope of work.

The street should be convenient primarily for walking, so the events will affect the pedestrian part. It is planned to lay a new coating of different types of paving stones there. It will visually divide this part into zones – transit, facade, technical and landscaping area. Granite side stones and descents to pedestrian crossings, hemispheres for parking restrictions, new outdoor furniture, and modern drainage trays will also be installed.

The lighting will also be upgraded. All cables will be removed to underground channels, poles and lanterns will be replaced with more modern ones. The roadway will also be put in order under a separate contract. Since Surikov Street is located in a special historical zone, the necessary archaeological research will be carried out before the work begins.

Surikova will become the seventh street of the historical center, which will be brought to a unified style and new standards of landscaping. Earlier, contractors were identified to repair the streets of Kirov and the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. They are ready to start work as soon as the weather permits. Last year, four streets of the historical part were renovated – Karatanov, January 9, Perenson and Dzerzhinsky.

"Given the first and rather difficult work experience last year, including the appeals of residents, it was important to make adjustments to the approaches to organizing work during preparation. Starting this year, the contracts include requirements for contractors to ensure pedestrian accessibility and safety. The work must be carried out in stages: first on one side of the street, then on the opposite side," said Sergey Vereshchagin, the head of Krasnoyarsk. – Special attention should also be paid to the synchronization of work in connection with the need for archaeological excavations on Surikov and the replacement of networks with Dictatorships of the Proletariat, as well as careful handling of existing trees and shrubs.

We should add that a bike path is also planned on the street of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. It will help connect two embankments with bike paths – the Central Embankment and the Kachi embankment. By Peter Pimashkov.
