The first results of the work on the preparation of Krasnoyarsk for the 400th anniversary were discussed at the federal organizing committee

Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, held a meeting of the federal organizing committee for the preparation of Krasnoyarsk for the 400th anniversary. Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Sergey Vereshchagin, Head of Krasnoyarsk, representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and large corporations took part in the discussion.

The program for the preparation and celebration of the anniversary of the capital of the region, formed according to the urgent needs of citizens, includes about 200 facilities and events in such areas as economics, ecology, landscaping, social sphere, transport and tourism. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the city is one of the key transport and logistics centers, where industry, the service sector, the creative economy are developing, infrastructure and the social sphere are expanding.

A favorable investment environment and participation in national projects create prerequisites for further economic growth.

Governor Mikhail Kotyukov informed the meeting participants that over the past two years, the region has already hosted a number of significant events dedicated to the anniversary of Krasnoyarsk, with a total funding of more than 18 billion rubles. These are the opening of the space of the National Center "Russia" on the Yenisei, the commissioning of four schools, the purchase of 150 gas-powered buses, the completion of major repairs to the Victory Memorial Museum and Victory Square, the reconstruction of the Krasnoyarsk Bypass highway, the completion of the first stages of construction of a machine-building complex in the Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley, the launch of the second power unit of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3, the transfer of more than 3,000 households to eco-friendly types of heating.​

"The year 2025 was marked by the launch of a number of important projects in preparation for the anniversary. Construction of a new road to the Solnechny microdistrict, the Surikov Center, has begun, two large parks and several streets of the historical part of the city have been improved, and new gas-powered buses have entered the routes," said Sergey Vereshchagin. – Of course, we will continue to fulfill all tasks. The work area includes 200 facilities and events. These are the renovation of four city squares, 17 public spaces and embankments, the development of islands, the creation of architectural lighting and the restoration of facades. Large companies are involved in the preparation process, thank them very much. For us, the main thing is for Krasnoyarsk residents themselves to feel the changes taking place, to see how the city is being transformed."

To date, 10 agreements on cooperation and cooperation have been signed with large corporations for investments of more than 14 billion rubles.

The large-scale transformation of Krasnoyarsk will continue. The plans include the purchase of 150 more gas–powered buses, equipment for cleaning and maintaining the road network, landscaping of four large parks, four city squares, 10 streets in the central part and 10 main streets. The list of works also includes the creation of a new embankment on the Bridgehead Square, the restoration of cultural heritage sites, the overhaul of the Opera and Ballet Theater, and the construction of new socially important facilities in the fields of education, healthcare, sports and culture.

An active holiday program is planned. These are cultural, business and educational events of international and national level.

The meeting participants discussed in detail the plans for upcoming work and sources of funding – a number of activities are being implemented as part of new national projects.

Following the meeting of the organizing committee, a new list of instructions has been prepared for state corporations, federal and regional executive authorities.

"Active work is underway, much is already being done. It is necessary to ensure the timely achievement of all tasks. The implementation of projects dedicated to the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk will provide potential for the development of the city and the entire Krasnoyarsk Territory," Alexander Novak emphasized.

The next organizing committee will be held in Krasnoyarsk in the spring of 2026.
